CBCA 80th Anniversary Celebration
CBCA invite Shadow Judging groups and Reader's Cup teams to join us for a morning to celebrate the CBCA's 80th birthday! Come along and hear from a number of Qld authors and illustrators, delve into their books and learn about their creative journeys. Each school is able to invite up to 5 students. Register your school's interest via this TryBooking event, and we will send you a confirmed Birthday invitation closer to the event. A cost of $5 per student ( $25 per school group) will be payable once the Invitation is confirmed.

Join Gold Coast author Tina Strachan, in conversation with author Katherine Collette, as they launch the second book in the Wilder Zoo series, 'Neeka and the Storm'.
When you live in a zoo, things can get wild!
Eleven-year-old Neeka Wilder has always loved animals and is lucky enough to live at Wilder Zoo, where her mum is head vet.
The deadline for the school reading challenge is only a few days away and Neeka has a lot of reading to do.
Then a wild storm hits. Emergency evacuation plans are put in place and even Neeka's bedroom turns into an animal nursery. But when the rain stops and the clean-up begins, focusing on reading becomes Neeka's biggest challenge.
All welcome. Bookings essential for room hire purposes. Limited number of free adult admissions. Kids entry is free.

Fox Squad All Day Pass
Welcome to the Fox Squad All Day Pass—an engaging day-long event designed for children aged 8-12 from 9 am to 2:30 pm. Our Fox Squad offers a blend of creativity, featuring author and illustrator workshops, reading time, board games, and a scavenger hunt. Priced at $95, this inclusive experience also covers morning tea and lunch. Limited to 12 participants, the day promises a personalized atmosphere.
Remember to pack a water bottle, and feel free to bring any additional snacks.

Wilder Zoo Crew workshop
Join us for a workshop in celebration of book 2 in the Wilder Zoo series, Neeka and the Storm! Tina Strachan will guide kids through a Wilder Zoo Crew workshop, where they will get to colour in their own Wilder Zoo name badges, help perform a ‘vet exam’ on a ‘rescued’ animal, and learn who eats what food (and who does what poo!). Tina will then test their zookeeper abilities with wildlife themed trivia, bingo and an animal sounds game, and finish off with a little craft activity. All participants will go home with a certificate to say they graduated as a Wilder Zoo Crew member!
